Ted was a newlywed in his second year of law school when he was rear-ended. He suffered serious injuries that caused him decades of pain. As someone who experienced his own brush with death, Ted knew a lot about adjusting to a life of pain. He understood how a single event could turn a person’s life upside down. Once Ted had new prospects in his office for a consultation, connecting with them and earning their trust was a breeze. The real challenge was getting more people through the door.
In the late '90s and early 2000s, he tried what nearly every other attorney was doing: running Yellow Pages ads. “I was paying $12,000 to $15,000 a month—even up to $25,000 at one point,” said Ted. “I was getting calls from my ads, but the quality wasn’t great. It was a waste of money.”
Ted then transitioned to online marketing, but his vendor took too long, was unresponsive, and his new website wasn’t bringing in any new business. Something needed to change.
