About the Role
Director of Sales, you own the success of your team's revenue growth. You are responsible for building, coaching, and developing a team of 8-12 successful sellers. Your success and expertise in the entire lifecycle of sales and your experience transitioning transactional sales into solution-based sales will be imperative to your role as a coach and mentor to your team. In addition, you will work with your Chief of Sales to effectively forecast and report on individual seller stats to ensure your team targets are met.

  • Train new representatives on products, services, or sales processes and procedures
  • Track performance against goals and suggests modifications to sales strategy or approach
  • Responsible for enabling sellers to hit their sales targets
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the assigned vertical industry
  • Maintain a close understanding of client and vertical needs and coach sellers on providing solutions and support
  • Receive and report on all sales leads of assigned sellers
  • Work with sellers when closing sales
  • Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics and provide regular updates to the Chief of Sales
  • Use the various training platforms to continuously grow your personal knowledge of our product, sales, and process

What You'll Need

Who you are and what you bring

  • 8+ years of sales experience, preferably in digital media, internet marketing and/or technology sales
  • 2+ years of managing a team
  • B2B sales experience preferred
  • Track record of exceeding sales goals and quotas
  • Consistent over-achievement of quota
  • Technically adept, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Ability to accurately forecast based on realistic opportunity assessments
  • Ensure 100% customer satisfaction with all respective customers
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet our core values and align with our culture
  • Technology Experience: PCRM software and Sales tech stacks such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Nav, ZoomInfo, Chorus, Outreach, and Zoom

What You'll Need

Compensation

  • We acknowledge that states have passed legislation promoting pay transparency.  As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.
  • The base salary + annual variable for this position is $200,000 (entry-level) - $250,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.  Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary + annual variable range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
